So if you’re a Democrat and you wish to be the party’s nominee, the road goes through NYC? When I first read that I have to say that I laughed. I even found it comical when Joel Payne did a piece similar back in December. And that piece talked as the black vote as a whole.
” One could argue that the road to the 2020 Democratic nomination runs right through the heart of Black America with African-Americans now positioned as the key voting bloc to decide the next Democratic nominee for president. The 2020 primary season is lining up to be the most diverse courting process we have ever seen for a modern presidential candidate.”
Now word has it that Big Al is the man. Yes the same man who can’t draw an audience during the week so they have him on weekends. And yes the same man responsible for riots a few years back. Al Sharpton is the new king of the black hill.
Here’s a list of who he has already met with. Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., senators Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Sherrod Brown and Amy Klobuchar. And here are a few that he will meet with soon. Billionaire ex-mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg and former Vice President Joe Biden, and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. What no Beto? Now I’m thinking that we will see that list grow.
Why is Al suddenly getting them to come see him? Help pay some of his bills? “Sharpton owed $4.5 million in taxes while frequenting the Obama White House.” Big Al is the new Don in Harlem. Just ask him he’ll tell you. Now If I was Trump I would be worried. Not really. Trump showed that if you get around 10% of the black vote, you win.
So in closing I think that the Democrats are making fools of themselves by going to the Big Al throne room. Last time Harlem had anything worthwhile was when the movie “Cotton Comes to Harlem” was playing. 🙂 Just kidding. What say you?

I have been writing on and off the past 46 years. First piece I ever wrote was my high school underground newspaper. A father of two twenty somethings. Happily married and presently living in Ohio.
