Time and time again we see it happen. Someone from the MSM makes a statement. Attacks a person or group. Sometimes is fired or resigns. Sometimes is rehired. And it starts all over again. David Weigel is an example.
Back in 2010 he resigned from the Post over e-mails he had written. E-mails that had negative comments about conservative personalities about Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich and others. Here’s some of it.
In those emails, Weigel accused conservatives of being motivated by “racism” and of manipulating the media to “violently, angrily divide America.” Weigel also suggested that he hoped radio host Rush Limbaugh die after he was admitted to a hospital for chest pains in 2009.
But he was rehired in 2015. All was forgiven. Maybe he changed. Well he didn’t attack the Pundits. He went after Joe Bag of Donuts, The small guy and gal. and Senator McConnell. Here let”s have him tell what was said.
“[Senate Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell [R-Ky.] didn’t care about the wall… he’s very good at identifying what the rubes want to hear,” Weigel said, “because all he cares about is getting enough judges to strike down campaign-finance law, strike down gun law, strike down health care, etc.”
“All of his brilliant tactics are like, ‘What if we don’t have a vote on this? What if we just sit here for two years and don’t have a vote on this?'” Weigel added. “On the wall, like, ‘What if we don’t do that? What if we just don’t do that? Everyone go away so I can confirm more judges.'”
In closing, this from the Washington Post. A Washington Post spokesperson told The Daily Caller that the situation “is being handled internally.” “We do not think our reporters should be using derogatory terms to characterize anyone,” the spokesperson said.
What say you?

I have been writing on and off the past 46 years. First piece I ever wrote was my high school underground newspaper. A father of two twenty somethings. Happily married and presently living in Ohio.
