My Two Cents. Opinions. Will Social Media continue it’s assault on Conservatives?

This is a follow up to a piece I did earlier in the year.

So what’s 2019 going to look like for those on the right? Conservatives, Libertarians, or anyone who disagrees with Democrats?  Oh we saw the media CEO’s apologize but then boom! another Conservative is banned.  Some times it lasts for maybe a day but then allowed back on.  It always happens in the news cycle.  Ban released after the story has died or is no longer relevant.

In some bizarre cases they ban a person for something said or tweeted or posted in the past.  Sometimes it’s years old.  Look what happened to  Franklin Graham.    He got a slap on the wrist for something from 2016.  A 24 hour ban.  This from Franklin Graham.

“Why are they going back to 2016,” Graham, the president of the evangelism organization Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said on Fox News after discussing how the social media platform moderates content on a day-to-day basis.  “I think it was just really a personal attack toward me.”

Here is why he was banned.  This was called offensive.  “He says the NC law #HB2 to prevent men from being able to use women’s restrooms and locker rooms is going ‘backwards instead of forwards,’” Graham said in reference to the singer in the post. “Well, to be honest, we need to go back! Back to God. Back to respecting and honoring His commands.”

So as we go into 2019, will we see the media behaving any better?  Oh we will have hearings and see the play makers tell Congress they’re sorry and it won’t happen again.  But they said that in 2017 and 2018.  So is more government needed?  New laws?  Maybe enforce the laws on the books.  Just think if this was possible.  Put 24 hour bans on social media when they single out political groups or individuals who are not in agreement with Social Media.  What say you?
