So what happens when MSM gets it right? They write a book. Former NY Times editor rips Trump coverage as biased

So have you heard the news?  The MSM coverage on President Trump is biased against him.  Get outta town.  Can’t be.  Say it ain’t so.  Seriously though, when even the media reports that 92% of its stories are anti Trump, you have media bias.  Anyone with a first grade education see the bias.  Now Jill Abramson who led the NY Times has written a book.  Abramson led the Times from 2011 to 2014.

The Book  Merchants of Truth comes out in February.  Here’s a quick note from Penguin on her book.

Drawing on revelatory access, Abramson takes us behind the scenes at four media titans during the most volatile years in news history. Two are maverick upstarts: BuzzFeed, the brain-child of virtuoso clickbait scientist Jonah Perretti, and VICE, led by the booze-fuelled anarcho-hipster Shane Smith.  The two others are among the world’s most venerable news institutions: The New York Times, owned and run for generations by the Sulzberger dynasty, and The Washington Post, also family-owned but soon to be bought by the world’s richest merchant of all, Jeff Bezos.

This from FOX.  Abramson defends the Times in some ways but offers some harsh words for her successor, Dean Baquet. And Abramson, who was the paper’s only female executive editor until her firing, invoked Steve Bannon’s slam that in the Trump era the mainstream media have become the “opposition party.”

Please don’t confuse Ms. Abramson for a Conservative.  Far from it.  In the past she has claimed that the Times is fair and balanced.  And this from her.  Abramson is critical of Trump as well. She calls his “fake news” attacks a “cheap way of trying to undermine the credibility of the Times’s reporting as something to be accepted as truth only by liberals in urban, cosmopolitan areas.”

One last quote from Ms. Abramson.

Abramson describes a generational split at the Times, with younger staffers, many of them in digital jobs, favoring an unrestrained assault on the presidency. “The more ‘woke’ staff thought that urgent times called for urgent measures; the dangers of Trump’s presidency obviated the old standards,” she writes.

In closing, we will see the more of Media bias as the Democrats come forward for their run for 2020.  Oh sure we have some strong Conservative news outlets and venues like this will be here telling you what’s really happening.  But we’re small and growing.  What say you?
