If all the Media is to be believed, President Trump will not only sign the spending bill, He also will declare a national emergency. So where does that leave the illegals? Hopefully on the southern side of the wall. What did the Democrats think was going to happen? This thousand page gobly guke of a bill did not pass the sniff test. I mean it really smelled bad.
Now are we going to see a court battle? Of course With the Hawaiian judge on speed dial, I’m sure the California AG will be the first. How did some in congress react?
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) quickly slammed Trump for his decision, terming it “a lawless act, a gross abuse of the power of the presidency and a desperate attempt to distract from the fact that President Trump broke his core promise to have Mexico pay for his wall.” “The Congress will defend our constitutional authorities,” Pelosi and Schumer added.
For me the part I found very troubling was the part about llocal communities going to court if they objected to the building of the wall. The environmental groups not so much since they’re mostly irrelevant. This should have been a one page memo. Declaring that the government would not shut down and the 1.4 billion would be allocated.
“The Senate on Thursday afternoon approved a border security package to avert another government shutdown, as the White House said President Trump is preparing to take the extraordinary step of declaring a national emergency to obtain additional funding for his long-proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. The bill passed 83-16. The border security compromise now heads to the House for a vote.”
In closing, it doesn’t matter who voted for or against it. That’s for another story. What say you?

I have been writing on and off the past 46 years. First piece I ever wrote was my high school underground newspaper. A father of two twenty somethings. Happily married and presently living in Ohio.
