You got nothing. Bi Partisan Senate committee finds no direct evidence of conspiracy between Trump campaign and Russia

So mark this down.  Two years and nothing so far.  The chairman of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee said its Russia investigation has found no proof that President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Moscow, an assertion that congressional sources said puts him at odds with Democrats on the largely bipartisan panel.

“If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia,” Republican Richard Burr told CBS News in an interview published on Thursday.  Of course we already knew this.  But I did have to laugh when I read what one Democrat aide said.  “We were never going to find a contract signed in blood saying, ‘Hey Vlad, we’re going to collude,'”

So the committee has said they’re winding down and you never know what may pop up.  Some Democrat are hoping that Mueller finds something and they can say I told you so.  I myself think that’s wishful thinking on their end.  This from Town Hall’s Matt Vespa.

“To this day, there has been zero solid evidence to suggest there was a definitive collusion conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. After years of mocking Republicans for suggesting the Russians were a geopolitical threat, it took one election loss to turn them into rabid Russophobes the likes we haven’t seen since Joseph McCarthy was in the U.S. Senate. This has always been a sour grapes crusade peddled by Democrats still stunned that Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, still seething over that loss, and desperate to find something, anything, that they can use to impeach the president”.
